Library Foundation to Host 4th Annual Wine Tasting Event

Enjoy an evening of wine, appetizers, friends and fun, all while giving back to the Wilsonville Library.

The Wilsonville Public Library Foundation will host its fourth annual wine tasting fundraiser, “A Toast to Imagination” on Saturday, November 9th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Wilsonville Public Library (8200 Wilsonville Road).

This annual event attracts new wineries each year, showcasing the bold and textured flavors from wineries in the Willamette Valley. This year, the event will feature seven local wineries – Archer Vineyards, Campbell Lane Winery, Carlton Cellars, Sineann Winery, Tumwater Vineyards, Twill Cellars, and Zerba Cellars.

Proceeds from this after-hours fundraising event and other endeavors of the Wilsonville Public Library Foundation support and expand library programs to improve and enrich the lives of Wilsonville residents of all ages including Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (DPIL), Science Adventure, School Family Nights, History Pub, Community Outreach, Heritage Collection, adult classes, and other initiatives of the library.

“The library serves as a community hub, and donations to the foundation allow the library to provide a broad array of programs and services to Wilsonville residents of all ages and interests,” said Foundation President, Caroline Berry.

DPIL, one of the top programs sponsored by the foundation offers one free high-quality, age-appropriate book per month to children from birth to age five. This program has reached more than 2,500 Wilsonville children and families in the past seven years, delivering over 57,000 books to their doors. Nearly 800 children are currently enrolled in the program.

“A book in the hands of a child can ignite imagination and an interest in learning that lasts a lifetime. Programs like the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, sponsored by the foundation makes the difference. Each child enrolled in the program receive one book per month from ages 0-5. Through this program, the Foundation touches the lives of hundreds of Wilsonville families.”
