The depth and breadth of housing options in Wilsonville range from condos along the Willamette River in Charbonneau, to apartment living at the center of town, to elegant and sustainable housing in the Villebois development.
Wilsonville has both new and established neighborhoods. One of the most recent, Villebois (prounounced Vil-bwa), is an “urbanist” planned development by Costa Pacific Communities. A mixed-use community, the plan includes a town square, retail businesses, a school, parks and 11 types of residential units. It was named 2010 Community of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders at the National Sales and Marketing Awards, one of only two Pacific Northwest communities to receive the honor. At build out there will be 2,400 residential units including 1,000 multifamily units – attached townhomes and condominiums – as well as neighborhoods of detached houses. The urbanist philosophy has a goal of living and working in an eco-friendly, healthy community. There is an emphasis on green space and parks. Villebois Greenway will connect to Coffee Creek Wetlands and Graham Oaks Natural Area to form part of the Tonquin Regional Trail.
Wilsonville has worked hard to make sure each section of town is designed holistically, and through careful planning they have done just that – building neighborhoods instead of sub-divisions. Whether it’s the Smart Growth and sustainability focused development called Villebois, or the historic Old Town neighborhood, or even Daydream Ranch, with homes sprinkled along the Willamette River, the housing options truly are endless in Wilsonville.
