FinCEN Removes Beneficial Ownership Reporting Requirements for U.S. Companies and U.S. Persons, Sets New Deadlines for Foreign Companies

Following the U.S. Treasury Department’s March 2, 2025, announcement, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) is making a big change: in an interim final rule, U.S. companies and individuals will no longer have to report beneficial ownership information (BOI) under the Corporate Transparency Act.

With this interim final rule, FinCEN is updating the definition of a “reporting company.” Now, only businesses formed under the laws of another country and registered to do business in the U.S. by filing with a state or tribal office (formerly called “foreign reporting companies”) will need to report BOI. Meanwhile, U.S.-created entities (previously known as “domestic reporting companies”) are officially exempt from these reporting requirements.

The Wilsonville Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to the Workforce Scholarship Charity Golf Tournament, presented by Tualatin Auto Body, on Wednesday, July 23, 2025

Langdon Farms Golf Club, a premier golf course in the Willamette Valley, will again host the 2025 Workforce Scholarship Tournament. We are proud to feature Challenge Cup Workforce Scholarship Sponsor packages along with a number of other corporate sponsorship opportunities. This support helps to raise the funds for the WACC Trade & Workforce Scholarship program that addresses current and future workforce shortages in our community.

This is an 18-hole, four-person scramble with a modified shotgun start. Registration fees include golf, golf cart, continental breakfast, lunch buffet, contests and unlimited use of the driving range prior to the beginning of the tournament.… Read the rest
