Got jobs? Need applicants? Then sign up to host a virtual “table” at the 2021 #WorkReady Virtual Job Fair.
Who: Your organization and the students from the Tigard-Tualatin School District When: Wednesday, May 26 from 2 – 4 pm

We are looking for businesses and organizations that have jobs to offer Tigard and Tualatin students in the immediate future. The #WorkReady team will take your information and create a website where students can learn about you, the opportunities available, and drop in to talk with you during the virtual job fair. Let’s work together to bring local talent into our workforce and fill your jobs!

*A note on video conferencing platforms:
If you are able to host your “table” through Google Meets, that is preferred since it is the platform students are most familiar with. If not, please use Zoom. School district issues Chromebooks may not be compatible with other video conferencing platforms. If you would like support in using Google Meets, please reach out to Chris Lieuallen (email@example.com) for a tutorial.

Date/time – Wednesday, May 26 from 2:00 to 4:00. If you are only able to host a session for part of that time, please let us know so we can adjust the information on the web page.
Student access – The school district will create a web page with information about each participating organization and a link to the video conference “table.” We will also host a Google Meet as a landing zone for questions and tech support. Students will be able to either access the job fair directly from the website or through the Google Meet. Please note that this is a drop-in event, so you may not have students at your table all the time. If you find yourselves without students, please notify us by joining the main room or via text (503) 839-5791 (not email since we will be monitoring the meeting) so we can let students know about opportunities that are being missed.
Deadline to sign up – Please complete the signup form no later than Wednesday, 5/19 to allow time to include your organization’s details on the job fair web page.
Video conference – The sign-up form will ask for you to input the link to your video conference, so please have that prepared before you enter the survey. Also, if the need to use Google Meets or Zoom is a barrier to participation, please reach out and we will work with you to find other options. Know that using other platforms may keep some students from being able to join your “table.”
Number of presenters – Since students may appear at your tables individually at times, we recommend, for the safety of all parties, that at least two adult representatives be present in your video conference.
What to prepare – You can choose how you share your job opportunities with our students. We do ask that you only participate if you have jobs that are immediately available or will be available in the very near future. You are welcome to also discuss opportunities for students
upon completion of further training, but the intent of this event is to connect our students with employers and vice versa.
