As we all deal with COVID-19, many of us are facing a new challenge of working from home. It’s obviously much safer to stay at home and follow the guidance of the experts by reducing opportunities to spread the virus. The best thing we can all do is simply go with the flow. The Wilsonville Chamber of Commerce is committed to always try to act like afirst responder to the Wilsonville Business Community. In this time of economic uncertainty, the Chamber knows that the one thing you need right now to keep your business afloat is cash, period. To do something about this, we, along with over 90 chambers of commerce and business association, have joined the Save Small Business Coalition (SSBC).

Many businesses do not qualify for disaster loan programs and some can’t afford to incur additional debt. The SSBC believes that with a federally funded backstop to cover the business continuity expenses through defined grants to impacted business owners, insurance carriers and agents could potentially act as a distribution center for funds and likely help define the terms of the grants based on their experience as claims payors and policy writers.… Read the rest

Instead of your standard social media post with the same old boring and predictable graphic, share a heartwarming video to express your appreciation. A holiday video can bring a smile, a laugh, make someone tear-up, or simply remind your customers of the great things you’ve shared this year. Either way, it’s much more memorable than a simple picture or text.  A bonus for creating a video is that you can also load it on your website and share it in an email too!

Big News: Chamber Endorsed Health Plans Are Here!

Do you have 2 to 50 employees? If so, we have great news for you!

Your Chamber has been working tirelessly for well over 2 years and with the assistance from our very own Gladys Boutwell of WHA Insurance, the Oregon State Chamber of Commerce has the first endorsed health plan!

What does that mean? It means that if you are a member of a Chamber of Commerce, like ours, and that Chamber is a member of the Oregon State Chamber, which we are, you can sign up for this health plan for your business and employees. This plan allows for a reduced rate to be passed along to members with 2-50 employees!
